Dear Lee,
The ISL is out, and you are nothing short of a hero! It is indisputably apparent that the arbitrators took heed of your arguments. They employed a 65/35 ratio of fleet and seat/longevity. This gained us some 200 numbers! The (minor) bad news is that the 787 (the first 25 planes) is fenced to CAL only. But the 747/A350 (phantom aircraft) is fenced to UAL (rooting for a quick delivery of 787’s, haha!)
Bottom line, the UAL widebody pilots owe you a great debt for your herculean efforts and quantifiable results! Thank you is inadequate for your fine work, Lee. You bring great credit to your oft, and undeservedly, maligned profession.
You may use this as proof-positive of the claim that Mrs. Seham didn’t “…raise no dummy!”
On behalf of all United Airlines widebody pilots, please accept our deepest gratitude which shall remain with us to the conclusion of our careers.
Sincerely,
